I was walking around Soho this weekend and stumbled upon this amazing store Cyrus Company. This crystal Foos Ball table was an absolute show stopper. The price tag on this is quite hefty and so it is remaining in Soho. Cyrus is from Italy and has many more amazing pieces for the home and an entire baby line. Don’t let the cribs in the window stop you from going inside.

Yes, Etsy! After searching high and low for the perfect dining room table, I somehow stumbled upon it on Etsy! For those of you who are not familiar with Etsy (you really should check it out). Etsy is like an Ebay dreamworld for crafters and homemade goods. You can find all kinds of fun jewelry, pieces of artwork, handwoven scarves, and apparently incredible furniture! Can’t wait to see it in person!

Now that we are under construction, I have been thinking about the walls and how I want to decorate the space with art and photography. I love the idea of having a bench in the entry hall with a giant piece of artwork over it. Need to decide if it should be a painting or photograph and also need to find a bench! There will be two walls available for creativity in the dining room (yes, a room has 4 walls typically, but here one wall is a window and the other side is open to the living room). I am thinking about covering one wall with a giant mirror and the other with a gallery of photos.

I have always been a big fan of the Louis Ghost chairs. I love how simple they are, yet modern and can work in any type of decorating environment When I moved into my studio apartment I purchased a mini version (the Lou Lou Ghost Chair in purple ) and used it as a piece of decoration since I was lacking a dining room table. Now that we are planning for the dining room, we just purchased 8 clear arm chairs and plan to get two distinctive chairs for both heads of the table.
I am now on the hunt for a table 9ft – 10ft.. recommendations please!
